We watched a fascinating presentation by 40-year Yosemite Search and Rescue (SAR) veteran John Dill.
Watching the video clips and photos of people in various states of peril made me think about the many troubles we face in life, and how by God’s design, we are vital to each other for survival and healing.
Sometimes, through losing a loved one or healing from past traumas or addictions, we find ourselves dangling from the high cliffs of life. And we need to be rescued because we simply can’t save ourselves.
And then one day God’s full circle of healing takes place in our lives and, to our surprise and joy, we’re called upon to help rescue others in the very same manner we were rescued.
If you’ve come through a healing, please share your story of hope. Others need your the light to find their way out of the darkness.
And if you’re dangling from a cliff right now screaming for help, don’t be shocked if God sends a broken person to rescue you. That person has been put back together with the stuff you need right now.
I’m humbled to know that God launched my rescue long before I realized I was lost.
